City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center is an independent biomedical research, treatment, and educational institution dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases. City of Hope provides expert care for patients with cancer from prevention and screening to treatment and rehabilitation. The organization’s focus is to shorten the time from initial research idea to new treatment to rapidly bring cures to patients who need them.

City of Hope treats more cancer patients than nearly any other institution in California and maintains prostate and breast cancer programs that are among the largest in the state. The institution recently conducted its 10,000th bone marrow transplant and maintains one of the largest and most successful hematology programs in the nation. A recognized leader in laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, City of Hope has performed more robotic laparoscopic radical prostatectomies since 2003 than any other center in the nation.

City of Hope is one of 40 Comprehensive Cancer Centers designated by the National Cancer Institute and is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).
